Weiterlesen
Sunday – sitting here at my desk listening to christmas music and finally realizing that Christmas eve is exactly in one week time.
Every year around this time I start realizing how blessed I am and how lucky I am that my only problem is whether I should wear a dress with heels or flat shoes and that I have the privilege to make such a thing as a wish list that definitely will come true as I am only wishing for materialistic stuff. It hits me every year that there are also people out there that don’t have all these privileges and so we should really start thinking about them as well and start doing something about it. At christmas it hits me the most as I am moaning about the cold and that it is also way too cold inside my flat but there are also people that don’t have a roof over their heads.
So what I thought we should start doing is donating clothes or bring them food so they have something in their lives that make them smile a little bit.
I always wanted the Modern Renaissance Palette of Anastasia Beverly Hills and as we have no access to Sephora in Austria I thought why not buy it when I’m in France. – small note in passing I’ve been to France in the middle of August with a good friend of mine. If you want to read the blogpost about it I’ll link it here.
Anyways my friend is really into Make-Up, the newest trends and knows, because of reading lots of reviews, what’s top and what’s flop. Weiterlesen
Don’t panic not my wedding – the wedding of my cousin.
I swear to god I’ve never been to a wedding that made every wedding dream come true. It was a wedding out of a fairytale. Starting of with the location – The little chapel in Schönbrunn, Vienna. The ceremony had been so intimate and heartwarming, also the priests speech was amazing that we all cried, when I say all I really mean everyone. When the door opened and my cousin was there standing next to her father, the grooms face lit up and he started crying of happiness and that was the moment I started crying. My cousin looked more than beautiful in her cinderella dress – she was smiling from one ear to the other and you could definitely see that these two will stay together forever. The way they looked at each other was overwhelming.
After the ceremony we had a tour around the park in Schönbrunn with little snacks and some Prosecco to enjoy the ride. Subsequently we headed back to the Palais where the dinner and the rest of the night were taking place. The party had been at the Palais Coburg – a really special event location. There is so much pomposity going on just like in a palais back when there had been kings and queens ruling. The drinks were amazing and all the people were stunning. I swear never seen so many beautiful people in one place. Every woman was wearing a lovely long gown and the men were all suited up.
When the waiter opened the door to our tables my heart stopped for a second. The flowers on the table and also the whole arrangement was beautiful. Everyone had a personalized menu at his seat that made it even more special. I know I am saying special and beautiful a lot in this blogpost but I can’t help myself it was beautiful and special.
The only thing I can say about the food was delicious I enjoyed every single bite of it. And when the wedding cake arrived – I said to my boyfriend that’s the cake I want for my wedding. The combination of white and gold makes every girls heart beat a little faster.
Continuing with the party and the disco in the cellar of the palais. They had a nice photo booth area were I had been taking definitely more pictures than I should – I love photo booths. At the bar you were able to get every drink that you can think of and the dance floor left nothing to be desired.
All in all it was such an amazing night, maybe even the best night ever had in my entire life. I danced the whole night, drank and took lots of pictures. I got to know so many lovely people and I am more than blessed with my family. I love them all so much and we had so much fun talking and laughing with each other.
Now onto my look. As I had a sty I wasn’t able to do my eye make-up as it hurt so badly but luckily you weren’t able to see the swelling on my eye on that day so it just looked like I was wearing no Make-Up at all. I straightened my hair and used lots and lots of hairspray to keep it in place all night long.
I got my dress from asos.de but I needed some small changes as I didn’t like the way it looked beforehand. I went to my tailor and cut of the sleeves. It is such a stunning dress that is definitely an eye-catcher by itself so I didn’t wear any accessories with it. The only thing I was pairing it with was my lovely Furla handbag and my Zara shoes, which I got on sale the other day. I wasn’t able to find any shoes that I liked that would go well with the dress so I decided to wear some comfy slides as nobody would see them under the long dress. What I love the most about this dress are the small flower details all over – that’s what makes this outfit so much more special.
This whole night I really felt like a princess that finally had been brought back to her natural habitat – the Palais. thaha
Fun fact: I almost caught the bridal bouquet and I could see my mothers face turning white. Unfortunately another woman caught it of what I am very happy about. The only reason I wanted to catch it was that it was looking gorgeous – I just love roses.
Shop my Look:
As some of you may know I had so much trouble with my skin. My acne has been so bad that I often started crying and felt very uncomfortable in my body. I tried to hide every spot and on some days I didn’t even left the house at all. I think I am definitely not the only one having these problems, so I decided to give you an updated skin care routine to tell you what I am doing to keep my skin that clear.
I really hope I am not decrying anything right now – „knocking on wood“.
First of all I had been seeing a specialist to tell me what has been the issue. Personally, I think all the mental stress I have had, had been the reason for me breaking out so badly. After my move to Vienna my skin cleared up a lot, so I really think it had something to do with the situation that had been going on back home.
So what has changed in my skincare routine since I last posted about it?:
I have been changing my birth control pill to the Midane. It is specially made for skin issues and is one of the main influences according to clearing my skin. Of course you need to know that your skin won’t clear up overnight and that it is a process of more than a mont – unforunately.
Another thing I am using at the moment is a face wash of Alser Pharm- namely Dermaxaan Forte Cleansing Foam. You can get it on Amazon, I will link it here for you. I’ve never heard of the product before but Alser Pharm had been so nice and sent me a nice package of their products so I thought why not just try them out. I am very picky concerning skin care products as my skin is really sensitive. Honestly I am loving this product, I use it every evening to wash my face. I really like the way my skin feels after using the foam. I am not breaking out at all and also my skin doesn’t feel dry, which is amazing. So I honestly have to say that I am loving this product and recommend it to anyone that has mixed skin.
After cleansing I am using a creme that my dermatologist gave me – called Biretix Duo. I can’t say anything bad about it. The price is amazing, only 10 € for a gel that works wonders – AWESOME. You can get it in every Pharmacy and also on Amazon. I have to say that it is much more expansive when buying it on the internet so i would definitely recommend buying it in store.
That’s all I am doing with my skin at the moment and I have to say that it hasn’t been that clear for a long time. If you are wondering what I am doing in the morning – I just rinse it off with cold water.
I can finally smile again and show my face to the world without using any make-up at all.
Have you any issues with your skin? What are the products you guys trust in – I am really curious because I love trying out new things.
Products I use:
I saw this look on her Instagram and also on her Snapchat some time ago and wanted to recreate it myself. She rocks this gorgeous looking blue eyeshadow look and it makes her face even more stunning than it had been before.
I went to my Make-Up drawer and was like, hey how difficult can it be? – well I really didn’t know what was coming my way. I knew she was using different shades of blue. One color, that is more green in the crease, and another one that is way more blue on the lower lash line. Luckily I have such colors at home as I am a total sucker for Make-Up products.
To start off I primed my lid with my concealer and also set it with my translucent powder. Than I went in with a nice brown shade that is just slightly darker than my lid and put it all over. To continue I added this nice green/blue shade with a big fluffy brush into my crease and started blending, blending and blending and even more blending. I totally underestimated the pigmentation of this color. But after a good 10 minutes of just blending the color was like I wanted it.
On her picture I saw that in the inner part of her crease she was wearing a darker brown shade to give her eyes more dimension and so I did it the same way.
Lastly – as for eyeshadow – I used a way more bluer blue on my lower lash line and also blended it in until I had the look I was desiring.
On my upper lash line I added a tiny, tiny eyeliner line and finished the whole look with a huge amount of mascara. I don’t like wearing false lashes, like Shay was wearing, so I decided to coat my lashes too make them as long and full as possible. If you want to also try this look out I would recommend wearing falsies with it as it just gives it a much more glamorous touch to it.
I know I am not showing a step by step tutorial but I wanted to show you my result and also my personal opinion on this look . I really love how it turned out. It wasn’t difficult to recreate at all, you just have to be very careful when applying the blue colors as they can be very pigmented. I would recommend starting by using just a little bit in the beginning and building it up as you go. Otherwise you would be standing there like me for 10 minutes blending. All in all it is also a look that you can wear everyday as it isn’t that intense, thats just how I see it personally.
Hope you are having fun recreating it.
